Our B&B was formerly a Salvation Army Church. It has been completely transformed into a light and airy seaside Bed and Breakfast in 2014 and has welcomed guests since 2007.
The Candlelight B&B has been very well maintained, and has 6 large suites, all with their own 4-piece ensuite bathrooms. There are four suites on the main level with town/harbour views and 2 upper suites with direct views of the harbour and the Long Range Mountains. Handcrafted furniture, top of line linens, accent chairs, mini fridges with freezers, 32 flat screened tv’s, accent chairs and tables are included in each room. The large B&B kitchen has spacious seating for 12 guests, and large cathedral ceilings featuring the original church lights. This space is an inviting atmosphere to visit with other guests from around the world. Guests can also enjoy a large deck on the back of the house with Adirondack chairs, two chaise lounge chairs and two picnic tables. Sweeping vistas of Salmon Point to the left, the town of Rocky Harbour and Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse to the right, frame our waterfront view.
The Candlelight B&B includes a private innkeeper’s residence that has unobstructed views to the harbour and Long Range Mountains. This innkeeper’s suite features a large master bedroom with two large walk in closets and a door leading to a private gated deck. The living room has a Harman pellet stove that will heat the entire innkeeper’s area and the two upper bedrooms in the winter months. A large eat in kitchen with an 8 foot island seats 6 comfortably. The suite also includes a large 3-piece bathroom with a shower and seat combination and storage cabinet for towels and toiletries.
The Candlelight B&B has a large B&B laundry/storage room for all bedding, extra shelving for all extra supplies, 2 washers, 2 dryers and a washtub for those busy summer seasons. A 2 car garage is attached to the building.
We have been the #1 rated Bed and Breakfast/Inn in Rocky Harbour on Trip Advisor since 2015, and we have also been in the top 5 places to stay in the province since 2016. With our Trip Advisor 2020 Travellers Award Certification, this business is one of the top 10% places worldwide to stay.
The Candlelight B&B currently operates as a seasonal business, May to October, but could easily stay open for year-round guests. There are many winter activities in Gros Morne National Park that guests would enjoy.
The assets of this very successful business are being sold fully turn-key including deeded and surveyed land and improvements, business name, website, social media presence and future reservations on the current books for next season.
