I want to spread the word about Kefalonia holidays. It is one of my favourite holiday destinations and a place that is already popular with tourists from the UK. Although popular, they aren’t as popular as other islands like Crete.

I don’t know exactly what makes a good holiday for you but Kefalonia holidays offer a wide ranging appeal. They attract many different types of tourists because it is so diverse island. It doesn’t matter what you are after, you should be able to find it here.

Are you a lover of culture? As Kefalonia is a Greek island it has a long and fascinating history. There are lots of ruins for you to visit, it might be worth investing in a guidebook. It is a really interesting culture for you to find out about.

If you are like me then you will love going the beach. The beaches are a great attraction of Kefalonia holidays. They have some of the best beaches of all the Greek islands and in fact have one of the most famous. It appears on most of the postcards of the island and the surrounding islands too.

The accommodation is very similar to many of the other islands in Greece. There are many types of accommodation but mostly they are apartment style. The hotels tend to be clean if a little basic. You will find a lot of self catering accommodation so there will be plenty of opportunity to grab a bargain at the look supermarket. If you are after something a little more upmarket then there is plenty of choice although as you expect they will cost you more.

The currency used in Kefalonia is the euro and you will be able to change most major currencies at the local banks. The Euro has become a lot stronger against the pound in recent years which makes it slightly more expensive than it once was.

I am sure that you will have a great time on your Kefalonia holidays. I hope that you enjoy it as much as other tourists do. Remember to pack you sunscreen!
